ESQL/C-Oracle Migration Toolkit
The ESQL/C to Pro*C migration toolkit is a complex set of tools for migration of Informix ESQL/C applications to Oracle Pro*C, including database structure and contents conversion and transferal. This tool may be used independently or together with the Oracle's Migration Workbench plug-in for Informix Dynamic server. However, the ESQL/C to Pro*C converter is far better than the one included in Oracle's Migration Workbench, which ignores many differences between Informix's ESQL/C and Oracle's Pro*C.
Informix ESQL/C to Oracle Pro*C Migration Toolkit and Informix ESQL/C library functions emulation for Oracle Pro*C was developed as part of such a migration of one of our products and is continued to be widely used in the Pro*C version of the product.
It improves the performance of an application and also allows incorporating the features of Oracle products.
The library for emulation of Informix ESQL/C is an add-on product to the migration toolkit. It is a unique general interest product with a strong focus on migration of applications written in Informix ESQL/C to Oracle Pro*C, mainly in focus to DATETIME and INTERVAL data types manipulation. The product is especially well-suited for those who decided to switch from conversion of Informix ESQL/C code to Oracle Pro*C. It is also an ideal source for anyone who needs a broader perspective on current events with even more preferable logic of the library and with minimal changes to its code.
